Restore Your Beautiful Smile With Natural-Looking Dentures!
On one hand complete and partial dentures are the most popular kinds of dentures. Immediate dentures on the other hand are used when your gums need to heal where an extraction is done prior to being fitted for dentures.
In caring for your dentures they need thorough, regular, and proper care. Cleaning also prevents plaque buildup which can cause tartar deposits, bad breath, and decay of remaining teeth, gum disease, and more.
For this reason it is imperative that you follow a clear denture cleaning routine where you remove and rinse dentures after eating, and brush your dentures with a denture brush or soft-bristle toothbrush using a denture cleaner or mild soap. Similarly, before placing dentures back in your mouth, clean your mouth to remove plaque and massage your gums. You can use a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean your gums, tongue, cheeks, palate, and any teeth that you may have. You should also floss between your natural teeth. Overnight, remove and gently clean your dentures, then soak them in warm water. When your dentures are made, we’ll talk with you about if and when to use an over-night denture cleanser. Then, when you get up in the morning rinse your dentures thoroughly before putting them back in your mouth, especially if using a denture-soaking solution.
Dentures will also require “relines” because your gums and bones are always changing. When this happens your dentures need to be adjusted so that they always fit properly for optimal function and aesthetics.
